At Prolific Interactive, the distinction between partner and client is extremely important. We believe strong partnerships are the foundation of creating stellar mobile products.
When we started working with BaubleBar, we knew the best product would come from a true integration with the BaubleBar team. Half of BaubleBar’s retail traffic was coming from their mobile website, so it was crucial to give their loyal customers a mobile option for discovering the latest trends.
To begin with, we needed to learn about BaubleBar’s business and customers. We conducted more than 50 user interviews to determine the perfect balance between innovative app features and an easy-to-use interface.
From working in the same physical spaces in BaubleBar’s Flatiron office and Prolific’s DUMBO office, to partnering with their engineers and designers, we formed one cohesive team focused on the success of the product. This relationship continued throughout the project and was a key factor in the app’s success. The BaubleBar app was featured on the front page of the App Store as well as the Lifestyle section, and maintains a rating of 4.5 stars.
